NBC Channel 39 held a contest for a free dream wedding giveaway at The PRADO. The winning couple, Stefanie & Jerry Heard, met in an unbelieveable and touching scenario. While Jerry was starting treatment for leukemia, Stefanie was his admitting nurse (and is a bone marrow transplant nurse here in San Diego). They fell in love instantly and ended up being chosen by the San Diego public to win the dream wedding of a lifetime! Jerry is feeling well in remission, but he has a long journey ahead. Thankfully he has an incredible new wife who will care for him as they enjoy the beginning of their life together.
If you are thinking about having your wedding at The Prado, this is a video you won’t want to miss.

Cuvier Park (The Wedding Bowl)
Cuvier Park, also known as The Wedding Bowl, is located on the Pacific Ocean at Cuvier Street and Coast Blvd. This popular wedding site is a small, grassy area that offers a spectacular view of the coast, with the ocean as a backdrop. It has a stairway and a long beautiful walkway to accommodate the bride for a beautiful entrance to the ceremony. It is located below street level and is hard to see from the street so scout out the location ahead of time. It is available for weddings only, no receptions. This wedding location is such a favorite that you must put your name in a lottery a year in advance for some popular summer weekends.
